Tiffany Hester
Instructional Designer and Diversity Education Facilitator

Tiffany Hester serves as an Instructional Designer and Diversity Education Facilitator for The Kaleidoscope Group, L.L.C. Tiffany has over 15 years of experience in instructional design, training and facilitating, and diversity consulting. Her instructional design experience began at Gap, Inc., where she developed management, sales, and product knowledge training programs and job aids to support associates in Gap, GapKids, Banana Republic, and Old Navy divisions to exceed the expectations of their internal and external customers. After Gap, Inc., Tiffany accepted a Learning Consultant position with Pacific Gas & Electric, to strengthen her design skills in the areas of needs assessment and program measurement.

Tiffany always wanted to expand her instructional design skills to include training delivery and facilitation so she accepted a role with Decker Communications, Inc., a San Francisco based consulting firm, as a Trainer. She quickly became one of their lead trainers of the flag-ship program, Effective Communicating™ and other customized training solutions. At Decker Communications, Tiffany trained programs with individual contributors and managers and she providing one-on-one executive coaching to support leaders to develop more effective presentation and communication skills.

To continue to expand her training design and delivery capability, Tiffany accepted a role as Curriculum Designer/Training Consultant with J. Howard & Associates, a diversity-consulting firm based in Boston, MA. With Tiffany’s unique combination of design and training capability, she was able to develop and deliver facilitator-led and computer-based learning programs for several Fortune 1000 companies including Home Depot, Bell South, Gillette Corporation, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in the areas of diversity and management development. At J. Howard & Associates, Tiffany served in a role as Client Services Team Lead where she lead a four-person team to provide sales support to six Directors of Client Services to generate six million dollars in revenue in one year. She also served as the Manager of Design Services supervising and developing a team of full-time, part-time, and per diem curriculum designers.

Tiffany was then recruited by CarMax Auto Superstores, Inc., a used car retailer based in Richmond, VA, to serve as the Manager of Diversity Programs. In that role Tiffany was responsible for developing the organization’s diversity strategic plan and creating and implementing programs to support CarMax’s diversity goals around diversity education, recruitment, marketing, public relations, associate development, and supplier diversity. In addition, Tiffany continued to design and develop management and diversity facilitator-led and on-line training programs that were delivered to over 12,000 associates.

Tiffany received her B.S. in Dance Management, a Business Management program with an emphasis in Performing Arts Management from Oklahoma City University. She is originally from New Iberia, Louisiana and currently resides in the San Francisco/Bay Area with her husband and three daughters.
