Karen Doerr recently joined The Kaleidoscope Group in the role of Client Service Manager/Consultant. Karen is passionate about the diversity and inclusion field and has successfully facilitated a variety of diversity awareness and inclusion skill building workshops. Her talents in areas such as process improvement, workforce planning, project management and human resources management are essential to the Client Service Manager position.
Before coming to The Kaleidoscope Group, Karen served as Client Resource Manager at Capital H Group, a management and human resources consulting firm. In this role, she focused on staffing internal and external consultants in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Management and Executive Coaching. Specific to the D&I practice, Karen orchestrated several train the trainer sessions and facilitated on multiple occasions for Capital H Group clients.
Other past roles include Manager of Examination Services at The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where she managed the Oral Certifying and Recertification Examinations. At Argosy University, Karen held the position of Curriculum Coordinator for the School of Business and worked closely with the Dean to structure and refine the curriculum for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs. She also served as Project Lead and Trainer for Argosy University’s reaccreditation mock visits (encompassing eighteen campuses) and performed as a mock visit peer evaluator at three campuses.
Karen grew up in Army brat fashion, living in multiple regions of the United States and Germany. She received her Bachelor of Music from Kansas State University and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Karen continues to strive to be active in the Chicago opera and musical theatre community. Over the past ten years, she has performed at venues such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Next Theatre, the Ravinia Festival and Music by the Lake.
